April 24th: "Some Punctual Review to a Kill"

I've been away for two weeks already and the first thing I did was check my email. I noticed some new comments under my most recent "Some Punctual Reviews" post. Apparently some person didn't feel the same way as I did about the Lord of the Rings movies. Which isn't that uncommon, because a lot of people really loved those movies. I just wasn't one of them. As a matter of fact, I consider them mediocre. They are well done, good effects and whatever, but I couldn't force myself to enjoy the story, or the characters, or the way the actors who played Sam and Frodo acted. I didn't like it.
And what's wrong with that? I'm open about my opinion and I can back it up. If you come on my blog, The MAT Blog, and tell me anonymously to shut the fuck up, and your only justification of that is that it won a bunch of awards? What? At least attribute your name to your opinion you cowardly shit, and we'll talk about how me giving it a bad review made you a whiny little bitch.
You clearly like the movies. Ok? That's your right to an opinion, so what's wrong with me not liking it in my own right? Huh? I don't even care about what you wrote, but to be enough of an asshole not to put your name on it? If you man up at all, post another comment on my blog with your name to your opinion.

In response to points three and four, fair enough. Thanks for applying your name to your opinion.
